They run the ball better than anyone and are consistently ahead of the sticks. However, the Oregon D is also elite and has the chops to slow down the Hoosier attack. In the previous meeting, they held Indiana to a meager 3.3 YPA. They also gave Mendoza his toughest test, evening managing to force him into a pick 6. Where things broke down was the RZ D, which allowed Indiana to come away with points on all 5 trips to the RZ. The path to a cover and possible win for Oregon rests on winning the LOS, generating explosive plays, and converting in the RZ. One of the few weaknesses in this Hoosier defense is its vulnerability against the deep ball. They compensate for this by being elite at everything else, specifically run D and redzone D. When the Ducks get into the RZ, they need to show improved efficiency. Last time out they went 0/3. Indiana is a wagon and Cignetti is a boss but we think this Oregon team is a lot closer to Indiana than one might think, and we're gonna take a stand on the Ducks to cover the number here.
